Gareth’s current role as Director of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation at The Independent Physiotherapy Service involves him managing our clinics in Wales and Scotland. He also enjoys maintaining a clinical caseload in some of our South Wales clinics.

Physiotherapy Specialties:

Gareth combines his expertise in strength & conditioning, physiotherapy, acupuncture, and injection therapy (cortisone & hyaluronic acid) to help patients with a wide variety of conditions. He treats elite athletes across a variety of sports, but is just as happy helping members of the public become injury free.

He has a special interest in treating:

Sports Injuries Chronic tendon pain - including Achilles tendonitis, lateral hip pain, tennis elbow, rotator cuff tendonitis Shoulder Pain Elbow pain Chronic knee pain Severe Orthopaedic Injuries

Gareth is often found in one of our gyms working with injured athletes or individuals who have sustained severe fractures in road traffic accidents. He is passionate about the importance of exercise in the treatment of all injuries and conditions. Personal Profile:

Gareth enjoys participating in and watching a number of sports. He played rugby for Wales U19, U21, Students and Universities, UWIC and was a professional player at the Scarlets. Injury forced him to stop playing rugby at a young age, which lead him to pursue a career in physiotherapy. He currently enjoys weight-lifting, doing Crossfit (at Crossfit31) and playing golf. He is married with 2 children.
